London Lounge Alden Fox Flannel & Lounge Linen Books Arrive In Time For East-Coast USA Trip!
This week saw the arrival of the much anticipated London Lounge Alden Fox Flannel Bunch and also the Lounge Linen Book and just in time for our East-Coast USA trip, for which we leave for Chicago this coming Sunday, 20th January.
The Alden Fox Flannel Bunch was designed by Michael Alden, the founder of the popular forum The London Lounge and includes 38 exclusive fabrics, all of which Edwin and I can honestly say are beautiful, of the highest quality and that we can't wait to get working with them.
There are a couple I have even bookmarked for myself to eventually try and have made up as a treat. Whether I get the time to do so, unfortunately is another matter....
The Lounge Linen book includes the LL suiting's, jacketing's, dress and casual shirting's and there are a few additional colours of each in the book. The book is intended to be a complete linen solution and again it should be fun to work with these, even though personally I am not a huge fan of linen but there are a couple of fun linen jacket fittings we have been working on for this upcoming trip which I am sure will look great.
Also pictured is a lovely overcoat, modelled by Edwin, that we have just put the finishing touches to in time for a friend and customer of ours in Chicago, who we will see on Monday. This is another of the great London Lounge fabrics and I think you will agree, has turned out very well.

Steed Expansion To The West Coast! - San Francisco Added To April 2013 USA Trip
Dad (Edwin) and I, are very excited to announce the start of the Steed expansion to the West-Coast of America.
For the past 18 years we have been travelling to the East-Coast either 3 or 4 times a year with New York being the original city that Dad started traveling to way back in 1995.
As the years went by we gradually increased the number of cities visted on the East-Coast due to an ever expanding and loyal client base, which now sees us taking in 5 cities which include, Chicago, Nashville, Washington DC, New York City & Boston. With Nashville being the latest addition back in October 2012 and DC in June 2009.
Now after a couple years of intrested parties contacting us and other numerous enquiries we have decided to bite the bullet and finally add the West-Coast to our schedule.
Men's Fashion's Coming Home! - London's Men's Fashion Week 2013
This week saw the start of only the second ever London Collections:Men, fashion week, after a hugely successful inaugural show, back in the summer of 2012, which was far more sucessful then first anticipated.
London kick started the menswear calendar, last Monday, 7th January with a biannual showcase of British brands and businesses embedded in a cultural programme.
London Collections: Men emphasises both the creative and commercial importance of Britain’s brands and emerging talent, of what we see on a regular basis with young apprentices phoning up quite regualry to ask questions that will help them with their various fashion based course and also CV's that get sent to us looking for apprenticeships or a push in the right direction to help them get on the correct road for their ambitions and skill levels.
All events on this weeks schedule are designed to showcase the breadth of British fashion talent, from the world’s most innovative emerging talents to global menswear brands and of course Savile Row tailors!
